Chilled Sunday's at the Trading House

Sundays are bloody fantastic. A day dedicated to relaxation and food? What more could a girl ask for? But Sundays at The Trading House are better. Fact.The other Sunday, I rolled out of bed and skipped to the trading house to meet with some of Glasgow's loveliest blogging gals for an afternoon promised full of roasts and bloody mary's, It was exactly as good as it sounds.

We all met up at lunchin o'clock and grabbed a few coffee's in one of The Trading house's gorgeous function rooms. After a good hour of chin-wagging and snapchat filtering, we ordered our scran - and I done something I thought i'd never do. Something my mother would scold me for. That's right,  I ordered the veggie option.

I know what you're thinking... It's a Sunday roast, Abbey! it's blasphemy to order the veggie option! What about your 'ROAST'. And I thought the same until the vegetarian option passed the servers lips - you guessed it. Roasted Halloumi.

Initially, I'll admit that I had my doubts. Roasties, Yorkshires, gravy and Halloumi? Can't say it's a combination that I've ever imagined togeather let alone tried. But I was fearless. Lynsay and I decided to take the leap. And it paid off.

I mean I love halloumi to begin with, but this was a masterpiece. I wish I could put into words just how great it truly was, but I can't. Believe me, I've tried. The Halloumi was squeaky, the veg with bite and that yorkshire speaks for itself. Alongside the grub, I did the usual and ordered a glass of fresh orange. It's something that I do wherever I go, as I love seeing how different/good the fruit juice is at each venue. This orange juice was outstanding, 10/10 trading house. You win.

After we filled our bellies, we were treated to a lesson in Bloody mary's which was beyond interesting. I'm not a massive fan of the traditional bloody mary, but we were taught about all the variations of the Bloody mary available at the Trading house and I actually found one that I liked - Shock horror.

I had the loveliest Sunday mingling with the blogging mob and pigging out on Halloumi. Definitely a threat to our home made beef roast - Sorry mum!
